The month of Purataasi (mid September to mid October) is dedicated to the
worship of Maha Vishnu (the Preserver). It is the period of the year in which we
pay homage to Lord Vishnu.

form of Sri Venkata Chala Pathi (Balaji) came to earth to guide people. Lord
Vishnu is also called by several names like Emperumal, Govinda, Gopala,
Venkateswara, Hari Narayana, Balaji, Srinivasa, Ranganatha, Ramchandra, etc
